This page is effective because it uses the conventions of a magazine contents page well. The house style is consistent with the front page and creates a uniform theme within the magazine. The page could be improved by taking new pictures with different models, as magazines usually feature a variety of different bands and artists. The font could be smaller and more page number and information could be featured. The double page spread preview is effective because it shows the reader what is inside the magazine
The house style is again consistent with the rest of the magazine which gives it a uniform look. I like the headlines of "Regulars" and "Exclusive" as this is a great convention used in magazines. Also, the editor's note is very effective as I have seen this in many style models and professional magazines.
There are not many improvements to be made on this page as it is very well done. The one thing I think may slightly improve it would be to make the little version of the double page spread slightly bigger still on an angle to fill a little bit more of the space as most magazines cram their contents page full.
